Regular Giclée

A giclee print is an exceptionally high quality copy of an original oil or acrylic painting.

 

Giclée is a French term which means to spray ink and is pronounced "jee-clay". Giclee prints can be done on a variety of materials. Simone's giclées are printed on the same high quality canvas that I she for her original paintings.

 

The latest advancements in the giclee process are the work of a sophisticated fine art production facility that utilizes the highest resolution digital printers.  This edition of fine art prints is a collaboration between the artist and a specially trained printer.  Current technology boundaries have been extended by customizing equipment, designing new programs, and offering protective coatings to ensure quality standards for the collector.

 

Displaying a full color spectrum, giclee prints capture every nuance of an original painting, Giclees of watercolor, oil, acrylic or textiles and have gained wide acceptance of major institutions in the art world. They are bought and sold in world class auctions as well as in galleries. Many museums across the world have either hanging exhibitions of giclees or have purchased prints for their permanent collections.

 

While the giclee print is an excellent reproduction of the original painting, giclée prints do not have the raised texture that is characteristic of most of my original paintings. A giclee print is a cost effective answer for the art collector interested in expanding their collection.
